Living Legends - The International Home of Rest for Champion Horses, with daily tours at 11am and 4pm

Living Legends is a unique, picturesque location for a family outing or group day trip. Come and visit the racehorse Living Legends in their paddocks on daily guided tours at 11.00 am and 2.00 pm each day. See the wild kangaroos and enjoy the native flora and fauna in the abundant parklands of Woodlands Historic Park. Explore Woodlands Homestead, or just enjoy the magnificent heritage gardens. Get a glimpse of the landscape of Victorian settlers in the 1840s. We are also an ideal venue for functions and events, including corporate functions, meetings and weddings.

🏆 Living Legends Melbourne Cup Parade is back!🏆

Join us to uphold the tradition, on Monday 2nd November at 12pm for our annual Melbourne Cup Parade, held right here at Living Legends.

Watch four Melbourne Cup winners — Efficient, Almandin, Prince of Penzance and Twilight Payment — parade through our gardens as we celebrate some of the greats of Australian racing.

Brew, the oldest living Melbourne Cup winner, will also be here at the farm for visitors to see!

☕ Make a day of it by joining us for morning tea in our café and hopping on one of our guided tours to meet our other retired racing champions.

A lovely reunion at Living Legends! 🖤

It was great to have Ash back out to see So Si Bon (Bonnie) and take him for a ride. It was clear to see they both enjoyed the chance to spend some time together again.

Twilight Payment joined them for a trail ride, with Adele tagging along for the day.

Happy 24th birthday to our very own Apache Cat! 🧡🤍

The legendary sprinter celebrated another birthday yesterday, and we couldn’t let the occasion pass without celebrating one of Living Legends’ most loved residents.

From his incredible career on the track to his retirement and ambassador role here with us, there’s plenty to celebrate about this special boy.

Happy birthday, Patch! Here’s to another year of being the most recognisable face in racing. 🐎

Looking a million bucks! ✨🐎

Santa Ana Lane was out and about today at the Whittlesea Pony Club Dressage Competition, taking it all in his stride as he competed in the Grade 3 dressage with rider Adele!

It was also a particularly special day for Adele, returning to the pony club she called home for over 10 years, this time with a very special Legend in tow!

It’s always so rewarding to see our Legends enjoying new experiences and showing just what life after racing can look like!

A very special Flashback Friday for one of racing’s greats, Might and Power. ❤️

This week, we celebrated Bob’s birthday, making it the perfect time to look back on some of our favourite memories with this remarkable horse, especially with the Might and Power Stakes being run at Caulfield tomorrow.

For us, his 1997 Caulfield Cup victory remains one of the greatest performances in the race’s history, showcasing the incredible talent and determination that made him a champion.

Bob held a very special place in the Living Legends family, and while he now rests peacefully in our Racing Fields of Dreams Memorial Garden, his legacy lives on in the memories he left behind.

Happy birthday, Bob. Forever a champion, never forgotten. ❤️🐎

Fawkner was out and about yesterday for the launch of the 2026 Caulfield Cup Carnival!

It was a fantastic day at Caulfield, with plenty of action, excitement and a great atmosphere as we look ahead to another big Carnival.

Fawkner enjoyed taking it all in and meeting plenty of familiar faces along the way.

A great day out at Flemington for TAB Turnbull Stakes Day! 🏇

Despite the unpredictable weather, there was a fantastic turnout at Flemington on Saturday, with plenty of racing fans stopping by to say hello to Efficient and So Si Bon.

The boys enjoyed a day filled with carrots, pats and plenty of attention from racegoers, making the most of their day out at the track.

A great day at Flemington for two of our Living Legends! ❤️

Prince and Fawkner hit Crown! 👑

The two Living Legends were out and about at Racing Victoria’s Spring Carnival Preview at Crown, where they certainly turned heads and received plenty of attention from guests throughout the afternoon.

The boys even made their way onto 9News live, giving viewers at home a chance to see two of our four-legged Legends getting into the Spring Carnival spirit.

A great afternoon out for Prince and Fawkner as the countdown to the Spring Carnival continues! 🏇

Some special meetings at Living Legends this week!

Shadow Minister for Racing, Tim McCurdy stopped by to catch up with a few of the Legends, including 2000 Melbourne Cup winner Brew and the infamous Apache Cat.

Tim also had the opportunity to give a very special welcome to legendary jumper Stern Idol, who recently joined the Living Legends family.
