The Friends of Grafton Gallery invite you to experience a fabulous and fun afternoon of music and entertainment, as part of the Plunge Festival 2026.

What: 'Where’s Paddy?' will entertain you with a lively and eclectic mix of Celtic and European music on accordion, bass, fiddle, and guitar, which will be sure to have you singing along!

Dream, design, and be inspired! Join Clarence Valley artist Kade Valja and spend the morning creating your very own colouring-in sheet. Using design and art techniques guided by Kade, you will build your own graphic artwork ready for pencils, ink, or pens, and create copies to take home and continue to enjoy.

Suitable for children aged 6 and above.

THE GALLERY FOUNDATION EMERGING ARTIST SCHOLARSHIP 2026

The Gallery Foundation and Grafton Regional Gallery are thrilled that the Emerging Artist Scholarship is back in 2026!

The Gallery Foundation’s Emerging Artist Scholarship supports young creatives in the Clarence Valley. The annual scholarship highlights the talents of young people, enhances connections of young emerging artists with Grafton Regional Gallery, and advances culture in the region - a major aim of The Gallery Foundation.

$5,000 will be awarded to a Year 12 student from the Clarence Valley LGA who shows consistent artistic and creative talent and innovation. In 2026, the panel will also award honorary commendation/s to outstanding applications. It is open to Year 12 students undertaking studies in one or more of the following subjects as part of the NSW Higher School Certificate (HSC): Visual arts, Visual design 11–12, Ceramics, Design & Technology, Textile & Design, Photography, video and digital imaging, and Industrial technology.

Applications will open on Monday 22 June, and close on Monday 21 September.

Join us for an afternoon of listening and learning as we explore regenerative ecological practices that nurture the health of Country. This is an invitation to listen, learn, and remember our place as caretakers within a living, breathing Earth.

~ Market of Ideas: 1pm
Bringing together groups throughout the Valley to share their work. Lions Club Clarence will be launching a threatened species publication, created in collaboration with Esk Studio. Stalls include Hopeful Disruptions, Clarence River Guardians Project, Elders lounge, Gumbaynggirr Rangers, Wildlife Preservation Clarence Valley, Clarence Valley Landcare, OzFish and more.

~ Music & Talks: 3.45pm
Performance by local Gumbaynggirr artist Manduway, talks with Bundjalung and Gumbaynggirr woman, Debbie Taylor, and Scott Johnson, from Southern Cross University.
