Grafton Midday Rotary Club members paid a visit to the Children’s Ward of Grafton Base Hospital yesterday delivering a special donation of five beautiful patchwork quilts.
The quilts were generously donated to Midday Rotary, Grafton by Diane Harris of Cambridge Park, the wife of a longtime friend of Rotarian Ray Smith .
Diane’s thoughtful contribution will provide warmth, comfort and smiles to young patients as well as their families during what can often be challenging times.

ANZAC Day 2026: Today we stand with our fellow service men and women with heartfelt gratitude.

We remember the lives of those lost during conflict and acknowledge the service of our community, including members of our club - Don Cardow and Jenny Hyland.

It was because of conflict that Rotary was given a sense of purpose. The First World War created the need to help many people at home, to assist refugees, to aid employment for the returning wounded, and to find ways to look after disabled servicemen, widows and orphans.

Today, as we remember the sacrifice of our service men and women, we continue to build understanding through fellowship to create communities where peace can grow.

📚 Book Lovers – Don’t Miss This! 📚

That $20 gift voucher was won last Saturday… will YOU be next? 👀

During the week, we’ve made some big changes to our Gardening and Cooking sections – plenty of fresh titles to explore! 🌿🍳

At our storage shed, we’ve uncovered around 20 books by Di Morrissey – perfect for fans or anyone keen for a great read.

There are over a thousand “new” books that weren’t here just a few weeks ago… so it’s definitely worth another visit!

💰 Books are still just $2 each
📖 Kids’ books are still FREE
