This Council initiative is going to kickstart some great demonstration projects so that we have local examples of innovative and best practice farming, that the community benefits from. Farming is a dominant land use in the valley, so we should celebrate where it is done for common good.

🚨 WE'RE HIRING 🚨Invertebrates Australia is seeking a Conservation Graduate Intern to help us create something genuinely new: Australia's first national map of Key Invertebrate Areas (KIAs) the critical places that our invertebrates need most. Working with a world-class international team, the successful candidate will produce the country's first accessible KIA map, a resource that will guide conservation action, land acquisition, and policy for years to come.
👉 WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
• PhD or Masters candidate or graduate in ecology, conservation biology, biogeography, or similar
• Strong GIS and spatial analysis skills
• Experience with large biodiversity datasets (e.g. ALA, iNaturalist)
• Self-directed, comfortable working online, great science communicator
