Pioneer parkrun A free, weekly, timed 5k event every Saturday morning at 8am in Pioneer Park. Everyone is welcome to walk, run or volunteer.

parkrun (http://www.parkrun.com/) is a not-for-profit organisation established in the United Kingdom in 2004 to provide a free, weekly, timed 5km running event to every community that wants one. There are now over 790 events worldwide with more than 100,000 runners participating every Saturday morning. Events are organised by local volunteers with support from parkrun.

Another beautiful morning at Pioneer parkrun ☀️🧡

From first timers to PB chasers, visitors, walkers, joggers, volunteers and everyone in between — it was wonderful to see our community out enjoying the course together this morning. 👟🌿

Just a reminder that there will be no Pioneer parkrun tomorrow (Saturday 25th April) due to ANZAC Day events being held in the Pioneer Park / Civic Centre Gardens, including the RSL Dawn Service, march and Gunfire Breakfast. See you next week instead.

Our incredible community always brings an abundance of energy, encouragement and spirit that makes every Saturday so special 🧡🌳

It was wonderful to welcome visitors all the way from Brisbane—great to have you join us!

Shoutout to Lakayla and Josh @ Luna Bean Coffee ☕ for providing post-run caffeination and all those that brought delicious treats to share 🧁🍉🍦
