2nd Gordon Rover Crew

2nd Gordon Rover Crew Rover Scouts who love the great outdoors 🏕️🤿🧗🏻‍♀️🛶🥾🪢⛷️🚵🏻‍♂️ 2nd Gordon Rovers are for young men and women aged 18 years to 25 years.

We enjoy participating in challenging outdoor activities such as bushwalking, canoeing, caving, ski-touring, canyoning, four-wheel driving, rock-climbing and abseiling. Balls, bush dances, harbour cruises, nights out, car rallies and "Moots" (gatherings of Rovers on a local, national and sometimes international level) also feature on our active program. Anyone can become a Rover - there's no need

to have any previous involvement with Scouting, or any outdoor activities experience. And the best part is you will learn many new skills and meet lots of new people. If you are interested in becoming a part of this amazing crew or you have any questions, please contact:

This weekend the crew said farewell to Aidan Irrgang. At his booting, Aidan led the crew on a packed weekend of exploration and canyoning in the Wollemi National Park. Nothing has ever phased Aidan, he loves hot sauce and he’s always up for an adventure. Aidan also always knows how to make everyone laugh and has brought so much fun and joy to 2nd Gordon Rovers. This weekend the crew said farewell to Peter Taylor, who has been a Gordon Rover since 2016. In true Peter fashion, his booting took the form of a backcountry ski weekend in Guthega. Peter is an excellent white water kayaker and mountain biker and also a regular at crew canyoning and skiing trips. He’s always cool under pressure and will be greatly missed in the crew. We look forward to seeing what epic adventures you go out on next!! 🛶🎿 🧗🏼‍♂️ 🪢

Last week a group of Gordon rovers headed down to the alpine national park for five days of backcountry touring. We enjoyed whiteout, rain, wind and the occasional sunshine! The group working on their skiing and snow camping skills over the five day expedition. A highlight was popping into the for tea! 🎿 ❄️ ⛄️ 🍧🌨️🏔️
