North Shore Mums Smiles2U Smiles2U now supports 14 hospitals with care packages to those in emergency situations in hospital.

North Shore Mums Smiles2U is a 100% voluntary charity which aims to bring care and comfort to the many children, adults and carers who pass through the Emergency doors of our local hospitals every day. Our packages are made to help everyone’s needs when disaster strikes. These packs have been carefully put together with items to support the patient with comfort and care whilst going through a very

challenging time in their lives. Smiles2U was created 7 years ago and in 2020 became a Registered Charity in NSW, with deductible gift recipient (DGR) status. Smiles2U now supports 12 hospitals with care packages, smiles bags, cancer care packs and comfort for those who find themselves in hospitals unexpectedly. The hospitals we support are Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH), Ryde Hospital, Wise Specialist Emergency Clinic, Sydney Adventist Hospital (SAN Hospital), Hornsby Hospital, Macquarie University Hospital ( Oncology Ward), Sydney Children’s Hospital Westmead, Gosford Hospital, Gosford Private Hospital, Wyong Hospital, John Hunter Children’s Hospital and Bear Cottage Children’s Hospice.

We are beyond thrilled to share that Michelle Key, has been named a finalist for the 2026 Westfield Local Hero Awards at Westfield Hornsby.

Since 2015, Michelle has poured her heart into Smiles2U packing and delivering Smiles Bags and Cancer Care Packs to sick kids, families and adults doing it tough in hospitals across the North Shore.

All powered by hard work, determination and the generosity of the community and local businesses.

Now, Westfield Hornsby is putting $30,000 in grants up for grabs and YOUR VOTE could help Smiles2U win funding to produce even more Smiles Bags and Essentials Packs, and expand our support to more hospitals.

Even with a bandaged hand and a hospital bracelet, this little guy still found something to smile about, a brand new colouring book to call his own.

Moments like this are exactly why our colouring book drive means so much. Hospital visits can be scary and overwhelming for kids, filled with waiting rooms, needles, and unfamiliar faces.

But hand a child a colouring book and a pack of crayons, and suddenly there’s something to focus on that isn’t scary at all just colours, imagination, and a few minutes of feeling like a normal kid again.

We’re on a mission to reach 1000 colouring books by the end of this weekend and every single one becomes a small pocket of comfort during a hard day.
