At Birch Care, independence is about more than just doing things for yourself it’s also about being able to give back and make a difference.

We are so proud to see our participants not only building their own confidence and independence, but also using their time and energy to support others in the community.

Recently, our participants took part in supporting a local charity and helping to raise funds for a meaningful cause. It’s moments like these that remind us that support goes both ways and everyone has something valuable to give.

Our SIL homes are designed to give participants the opportunity to learn new skills, try new experiences, and grow in confidence while still receiving the right support. This Friday, we’re focusing on Community Access & Participation and what it really means for NDIS participants.

Community access is more than just getting out of the house it’s about building confidence, making connections, learning new skills, enjoying activities, and feeling included in everyday community life.

The NDIS may fund supports that help participants take part in social, recreational, cultural, and community activities where support is needed because of a disability.

At Birch Care, we are here to support you to get out, stay connected, and participate in activities that are meaningful to you.
