On Saturday night and Sunday morning , the Glen Innes Lions club were excited to be able to assist in a small way with "Need for Feed Australia" (https://www.needforfeed.org/) . Providing dinner and then breakfast. "Need for Feed Australia" are volunteer truck drivers who deliver much needed feed to local farmers all over Australia. It was a pleasure to meet all the drivers and families. Fantastic to meet Graham Cockerill , who is the founder of the project.

Have you considered joining a Lions club but thought I don't have the time ? Have you considered becoming a "Lion at Large"? Lions at large are not required to attend meetings and have no voting rights but they can help out at Lions events during the year when you have some time. There is no obligation but your willingness to help out at events during the year.
Last year the Lions donated around $20,000 dollars back to local charities. We also provided an AED machine to the local Anglican church , Glen Innes Showgrounds, Glen Innes Tennis Club and Glen Industries.
If this is a organisation that you would like to hear more about or are considering joining a volunteer organisation , please call the president of the local Lions Club on 0474 530613.

The Glen Innes Lions were lucky to have State Member for Northern Tablelands Brendan Moylan attend our meeting on 26 August 2026.
Brendan spoke passionately about his time in Parliament plus what he endeavours to acheive in the years moving forward.
Thanks so much for making the effort to attend our meeting.
