NO CLUB.
NO FOOTY ⚫️

For the first time in many years, Glen Innes Minor League has come away from its AGM without a committee in place.

Our club has a proud history, built by generations of volunteers who have given their time to make sure our kids have the opportunity to play footy, make mates and be part of something special.

But the reality is, without a committee, there may be no footy next season.

We can’t keep relying on the same few people to do everything, or assume someone else will step up.

We’re not asking one person to do everything. We’re asking people to do something.
You don’t need experience, just a willingness to get involved and help keep our club going.

To our parents, past players, supporters and wider community - we need you.

This club belongs to all of us, and its future depends on people being willing to lend a hand.

Let’s not let a club with so much history and heart lose its future.

It’s that time of year again! Glen Innes Minor League is looking for passionate, enthusiastic people to join our committee and help make the upcoming season a great one!

📅 Wednesday 14th October
📍 Glen Innes RSL
🕕 Committee Meeting – 6:00pm
🕖 Annual General Meeting (AGM) – 7:00pm

All committee positions are vacant, and we’d love you to get involved!

The following positions need to be filled:

President
Senior Vice President
Junior Vice President
Secretary
Treasurer
Registrar
Canteen Coordinator x2

Once our committee is established, we’ll also be looking for:

League Safe volunteers
First Aid Officers
Grounds Managers

We know life is busy, and everyone has a lot on their plates, but many hands make light work! Every little bit of help makes a difference, and volunteering is a wonderful way to support our kids, our families and our local footy community.

We’d love to see some new faces, fresh ideas and plenty of community spirit as we continue building a great club for our kids!

Pyper is a loyal Glen Innes Magpie through and through. 🖤🤍🩷

She’s played both League Tag and Tackle for our club, and even when she had to move away from Glen, she continued to travel back for training and games just so she could keep playing for the mighty Magpies.

Now, Pyper needs our support.

Pyper has recently been diagnosed with Stage 3 kidney disease as a result of a rare autoimmune disease. She is currently receiving treatment to help stabilise her kidney function.

In true Pyper style though, she’s taking it all in her stride. Anyone who’s had the pleasure of watching her play footy knows she’s one tough cookie — determined, resilient and not one to back down from a challenge.

Pyper and her family have spent the past couple of weeks in Sydney at Westmead Children’s Hospital, away from home while she receives the care and treatment she needs.

Unfortunately some of our young Magpies are having serious health problems at the moment.
Let’s get around them with some Magpie spirit and support 🖤🤍

Carter Swaffer has recently been diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes following a serious episode that landed him in hospital, where he is still recovering and adjusting to this unexpected diagnosis.

A familiar face around our club, a passionate Magpie and always willing to lend a hand - he generously gave his time this season to help coach our U7’s, which all the kids loved having him around.

Everyone at our club wishes you a healthy recovery buddy 🖤🤍

Our season is over for another year.

There was plenty to celebrate on the night, and GIML would like to thank everyone involved in making the 2026 presentation night one to remember.

Thanks to Brendan Moylan MP for attending and presenting certificates to our players who joined the GIML 100 Club.

⭐️ Congratulations to all our teams and award winners on the night ⭐️
