بدعوة كريمة من الجامعة اللبنانية الثقافية في العالم – فرع أستراليا (Australian Lebanese Cultural Union)، شارك الأستاذ سمير يوسف، عضو مجلس مدينة فيرفيلد، ورئيس الرابطة الكلدانية الاسترالية في الأمسية الاحتفالية التي أقيمت بمناسبة عيد استقلال لبنان مساء الجمعة 21 نوفمبر 2025 في La Castelle Venue – Bankstown.
وجاءت مشاركة الأستاذ سمير يوسف تلبيةً للدعوة التي وُجهت إليه من قبل منظّمي الحفل، بشخص الاستاذ ايلي كلثوم حيث حضر بين أبناء الجالية اللبنانية والجمعيات والفاعليات الرسمية والاجتماعية، وقدّم تهنئة شخصية بهذه المناسبة الوطنية العزيزة، من خلال مقابلة اجريت معه على شبكة اوز عرب مؤكدًا أن:
“عيد الاستقلال ليس مجرد ذكرى تاريخية، بل هو رسالة متجددة في قيم الحرية والوحدة الوطنية، والتزامٌ بالمحبة والحوار والعمل المشترك من أجل مستقبل أفضل للبنان وأبنائه أينما كانوا.”
كما توجّه بالشكر إلى الجامعة اللبنانية الثقافية وفريق العمل على الجهود المبذولة في جمع أبناء الجالية تحت راية الوطن، مشيدًا بالدور الريادي للجالية اللبنانية في تعزيز روح الانتماء والتواصل والحفاظ على الهوية الثقافية في أستراليا.
وخُتمت مشاركته بالدعاء أن يحفظ الله لبنان وشعبه، وأن يعم السلام والاستقرار ربوعه، متمنيًا دوام النجاح لهذه التظاهرة الثقافية الراقية.
By a kind invitation from the World Lebanese Cultural Union – Australia Branch (Australian Lebanese Cultural Union), Mr. Samir Yousif, Member of Fairfield City Council and President of the Australian Chaldean League, participated in the gala evening held on the occasion of the Lebanese Independence Day on Friday, 21 November 2025 at La Castelle Venue – Bankstown.
Mr. Samir Yousif’s participation came in response to the invitation addressed to him by the event organizers, where he attended among members of the Lebanese community, associations, and official and social representatives. He delivered a personal congratulatory message on this cherished national occasion, through an interview conducted with him by Oz Arab Media Network, affirming that:
“Independence Day is not merely a historical anniversary, but a renewed message of the values of freedom and national unity, and a commitment to love, dialogue, and joint action for a better future for our homeland Lebanon and its people wherever they may be.”
He further expressed his appreciation to the Cultural Union and the organizing team for their efforts in uniting members of the community under the banner of the homeland, praising the pioneering role of the Lebanese community in strengthening the spirit of belonging, enhancing communication, and preserving cultural identity in Australia.
At the conclusion of his participation, Mr. Samir Yousif prayed that God protect Lebanon and its people, and that peace and stability prevail throughout the country, wishing continued success for this distinguished cultural event.
