This Thursday we are meeting at Bunnings Echuca for a special Bunnings activity. From 6pm

This night happens to fall on their Father’s Special Person Night too

They have asked us to run some giant games for the evening.

On arrival find our guide table and sign in.
Guides will then be able to do our set activity.
Then guides are welcome to explore the rest of the night’s festivities.

I WILL NOT be able to explore with the girls. Therefore I recommend parents to enjoy in the night’s festivities too.

Junior leader led night- well done to our amazing Cassowary.

She did an amazing job teaching the girls how to make flowers using pipe cleaners. She showed them two different ways and then let them explore.

Great simple night that provided guide lead activity, leadership skill, resilience, creativity and exploration.

We wish Ellie all the best for the up coming weeks/months as she puts her head down into her studies for her final schooling and exams.

When you have a night plan but realised it’s not going to work, thinking on the spot to come up with a plan B quickly is just another add on leadership skill to have.😂😂

Night started with our guiding link what was a good turn we did this week and what we love about guides- friendship, cooking, food, games, craft, camps and everything.

It was very noticeable that the guides has heaps of energy to burn off, so quick thinking we set up relay tic tac toe. Great mental challenge game.

I was then able to whisk up with the help of our guides the making of our world flag. (World flag cooking skit)

And to finish off guides played limbo - great challenging task, confidence building, trying something new.

Our Bush Rats (Rangers) started to plan a wide game focusing on the start of girl guides. Good start to their planning. Look forward to seeing it being played out.

Region camp is coming up in a months time.

11-13 September

Running 2 camps- indoor and outdoor

These camps are great introduction to our guiding camping especially the outdoor camp.

I will be hosting the indoor camp and we going to have a great adventure with the wildlife
There are limited spaces for indoors so make sure you book soon than later

If you want to come for a day trip we are offering for the 5-10 years olds 10 extra days places. These are already getting booked so Again book soon than later to not miss out.

The outdoor camp will be looking at camp skills with some extra fun activities also. Not limited

Everything will be catered and covered, so all you need to do is register, turn up with your bags and bedding and have a bunch of fun

To register log into your family account and under events you will find it.

Full uniform including sashes

Guides start at 6pm followed by ceremony at 6.30pm followed by Parent meeting at 7pm

Girl guides lead the way……..

A amazing effort last night by Vidhumi teaching the girls how to sketching a face. She showed them how to begin with lines and circles to then form the facial features. She also showed how to do some shading to highlight areas to define the features better.

Everyone participated very well and the final designs were amazing❤️

Rangers worked as a patrol navigating the kitchen to make Mac and cheese. Skill building, exploring, experimenting and problem solving.
It tasted not bad😃
