this is brother meow. 🤍

he tries to be steady even when he's tired, and he has a habit of going quiet when life feels too loud.

bunny has learned that quiet doesn't always mean something is wrong. sometimes it just means brother meow is putting himself back together in peace.

maybe we don't always need to explain our quiet, either.

sometimes stepping back is just how we find our way back to ourselves.

On this day five years ago, Victoria
experienced a 5.9M earthquake - the largest
earthquake in the state's history. Do you
remember where you were? And most
importantly - do you know what to do if an
earthquake occurs?

On 15 October, join the global Great
ShakeOut earthquake drill so you can practice
how to drop, cover and hold on if an
earthquake hits.

Find out more and register your drill on our
website here: www.ses.vic.gov.au/great-

If you’re going camping this school holidays, think about the conditions when you set up and plan for what you’ll do if a storm or flood happens.

Our tips:

Set up your camping site under a clear sky away from trees and branches.

Camp on higher ground away from creeks, rivers, streams and other waterways.

Find out what your camping ground’s emergency plan is.

Set a watch zone which includes your camp site on the VicEmergency app so you are alerted to relevant warnings.

Today, VICSES members across the state
are gathering to acknowledge and reflect on R
U OK? Day.

For our members, connection and looking out
for one another is particularly important.
That’s why we’re having conversations and
reflecting on the importance of checking in on
each other.

Whether we’re out in the field, working
alongside other in our offices, delivering
training or taking on the role of Peer Support
Officer, there are many opportunities for us to
notice when someone might not be themselves and start a conversation.

Happy R U OK? Day. đź’›
