QCWA Coolangatta really rocked Cooly Rocks! A huge thank you to everyone who came along to support us.
The Cooly Rocks Cafe was full to capacity every day, our market stall almost sold out, Cooly Nights Swing sold out, Cooly Nights Rock was a great success.
Our beautiful old hall really shone, and everyone enjoyed the dance floor which was built for dancing all those years ago. Great to see her come alive again!
To our wonderful, supportive community, thank you!
To our ladies who worked hard and provided top level service, a huge thank you!

This week we celebrated National Volunteering Week!
Thank you to our guest speakers Brad Cooper from Gold Coast Volunteering, and Sue Baillie our State Vice President.
We value the work we do and we value our ladies who put in around 1800 hours of volunteering a month to support our local community.
We received certificates from Volunteering Australia and Leon Rubello our local Federal member. Our celebrations included a delicious lunch which was organised by our Country Kitchens team, thank you Cathy, Barbara and Di. A huge thank you to all our ladies for your time and efforts to help others, and to all QCWA ladies, thank you.

We’re having Fabulous Fridays with our local Hillcrest School and the children are learning a lot for their module ‘Working with our Community’. They’ve learnt about QCWA and volunteering, and are picking up lots of new skills including gardening, cooking and quilt making.
It’s also been a wonderful experience for our kind, giving ladies.
