Dear Friends,

With great shock and sadness, I report that our solid member Leanne Whitehouse has just lost a second son, this time from a motorcycle accident. His name is Leroy and he is in his early twenties.

Leanne is broken, as you would expect. Sean Mckeown just phoned me to post this notice as requested by Leanne.

Our wonderful, popular and supportive girl needs our close support.

This is all I know at this stage. Please offer a silent prayer to Leanne and, if you are inclined, offer me a return email expressing your sentiment and I shall forward your sentiment to Leanne.

Today was a really great day with a good turn up and a special guest, Bert Hayes, this gentleman through his first aid and compassion saved our member Peter Turners life after Peter collapsed with a clot in the brain! Peter attended today and is on the mend thankfully! Photo of Bert and Peter below!
As you can see by the photo there were the usual good looking people, some really cool people and the rest of us rid raff! Hahaha
It was a great day with some new faces and some interesting chats! Beautiful sunshine and great company!🤙👍🏄‍♀️🏄‍♂️

Well, the weather was beautiful, the crowd grew as the morning went on, and we all had a great morning to start off 2026. The ladies did themselves proud with some yummy cakes and Curly, who deserves way more credit than he gets cooked up the BBQ.
Billy gave his thoughts on the history of The Table Of Knowledge and his words for the recently departed Doug Guy RIP. Bill then introduced Desi Williams who gave his mate a great send off. Thanks Desi he will be remembered!

Below we have attached a photo of our January 2026 BBQ as well as two photos of Dougie Guy receiving the special Joey Cabell-signed poster courtesy of Bondi's ToK member, John "Red Ted" Sullivan. Red Ted is a dear friend of the world-famous, Hawaiian surfing icon, Joey Cabell. Roso, Red Ted and this writer made this appreciative donation to this wonderful Table of Knowledge pioneer last year, now survived by his wonderful wife, Veronica at their Miami home. Our sincere condolences are extended to Veronica and all of the Guy extended family. Dougie boy, we love you. We'll miss you.

Well I was Robbed. I wasn’t able to attend our November BBQ as I was in hospital! Nothing too worrisome just the world spinning (Vertigo)
Not looking for sympathy but just wish to thank all those that sent best wishes, it just shows the friendships made at this amazing club!
Those that get Bills email will have seen a message from Rick Wybrew. I just thought I would add it to this post as Rick and Vicki were great friends of both Surf World & TOK.

Hey Billy

How quick the year has gone. Vicki and I hope you have been keeping well. I see that your tireless efforts continue with the TOK. We genuinely appreciate your monthly rap up email of the breakfasts and of course the obligatory group photo taken of those smiling surfers. It genuinely keeps us in touch with that fabulous group.

Just to finish, I hope 2026 holds good health and happiness for you and the whole TOK family and please wish everyone a Merry Christmas.

Well the October BBQ was a hit. A great turn up and everyone basked in the sunshine with good food thanks to Curly who excels every time with his BBQ and many thanks to the ladies for the yummy cakes!!
The next BBQ will be the last for 2025 as with the holidays in December it is just not viable.
This was a ripper with heaps of stories and a visit from Gail O’Neal.

What a Ripper of a day! The TOK monthly BBQ was another Beaty with the sun shining maybe the swell could have jumped a bit more but our monthly meet met all expectations and as you get older it is so good to meet up in a social gathering and keep in touch with friends and meet new ones! Thank you all for your attendance! Oh and another cheque for Kids In Need a charity run by 8 volunteers helping kids in our area so every $ goes to the kids.
