The Queensland Theatre of Puppetry (QTOP) is a non-profit organization which has been entertaining children on the Gold Coast for over 40 years. We perform puppet shows every school holidays (except September due to the motor race event) for the small admission price of $5.00 per person. We are always happy to hear from people interested in helping us either in puppet making, manipulating, front-o

f-house or by way of donations. The Queensland Theatre of Puppetry (QTOP) was founded in 1971 by the late Gerda Pinter and the late Kay Littler. The organisation is run entirely by volunteers and continues to produce amateur puppetry productions in school holidays for the small admission price of $5 per person. Many of our patrons were coming to see our shows when they were young children and now enjoy the chance to bring their own children along to QTOP shows.

Hi Puppet lovers, It is Phil Bell here, would you like to operate a Puppet? I am looking for a number of Puppeteers who would like to help with our upcoming Production of "Under the Sea" a fantastic show in the June school holidays 2026. Must be about 9 years old and upwards , yes, even if you are older than teenage, we would like you to help us with the Puppets and sets and be able to 2 shows daily in the mornings of 10 days of the holidays 9-30am and 11am (not weekends). If you can handle this, and handle a puppet or two, it is all voluntary and our proceeds go to the Gold Coast Hospital Foundation, for them to buy specialised equipment.
