We really enjoy the Alex Gow Funerals Puzzle books. You can always pick one up from the reception of STAR's Cleveland office.
Thank you to Alex Gow Funerals for their support of the community.

Congratulations to our July winner, Frank from Burpengary.
Frank was over the moon to win his $100 voucher. He regularly completes the Alex Gow puzzle books and will be spending the voucher on some things for his garden.

Puzzle Books are published quarterly and available FREE from most retirement villages and nursing homes. If they don't have them, just get them to call our office, and we'll have them delivered. Alternatively, they can be collected from any of our 4 branches.

A big thank you to Heather from FareShare/SecondBite for welcoming us into their kitchen and showing us the incredible work carried out by staff and volunteers.

We saw firsthand how thousands of delicious, nutritious meals are prepared each day using rescued food. Fresh vegetables, meat and other ingredients are generously supplied by an amazing network of food partners.

One volunteer we met has been coming to the kitchen every week for 2½ years because he loves being part of the team. It was wonderful to see the care that goes into every meal, along with the genuine enjoyment and camaraderie among the volunteers. ❤️

The amazing corporate volunteers from Hatch — Consulting, Engineering and Project Implementation were lending a hand. It was clear they were experts at putting meals together, working efficiently while enjoying the experience together!

Thank you to FareShare and SecondBite for helping provide nutritious meals to so many children and adults across the community and reducing food waste at the same time.

This is beautiful! Thank you to Alex Gow Funerals for the heartfelt support they give.

Since 8th July, the team at Alex Gow Funerals has been donating all bottles and cans collected from our funeral homes to the Children’s Hospital Foundation Queensland, in loving memory of Wendy’s beautiful granddaughter, Harper.

Harper was diagnosed with a severe neurodevelopmental disorder before she was 12 months old. After facing many challenges throughout her short life, Harper was placed into palliative care and sadly passed away shortly after her 4th birthday at Queensland Children’s Hospital.

We wanted to turn something small into something meaningful — helping support the hospital and the families and children who rely on its care. 💜

🌟 So far, we have raised $98.00! 🌟

Every bottle and can makes a difference, and we hope to continue growing this donation in Harper’s memory.
