Alan was a valued client of Meals on Wheels — first at Wynnum, then Cleveland, since 2009.

Many of you will remember him for his unique personality and the lasting impression he made on those around him. He will not be forgotten.

Alan was fortunate to have Warren caring for him for seven years, and he became a familiar and well-known member of the community.

⚠️ Service Update - Please be advised that our Meals on Wheels Cleveland service remains temporarily closed due to unexpected and urgent maintenance requirements.

For clients scheduled to receive meal deliveries tomorrow (Fri 27th March), deliveries will still go ahead as normal. Staff will be stepping in to ensure all meals are delivered as ordered.
We are hoping to resume normal operations from the service location on Monday.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause for our walk-in clients and appreciate your understanding. Thank you for your continued support. 💙

Yesterday, Mark from Deloitte’s committed his morning to volunteering on a delivery run with one of our volunteers (as part of Deloitte’s Impact Day 2025). It was busy from the moment he walked into the office and he pitched in straight away with a smile.

Mark wrote the following message after returning back to the office: “It was enlightening to participate in what is ‘business as usual’ for Meals on Wheels, but clearly takes a lot of dedication from the staff to support the needy in the community in this way. I appreciated the opportunity to be able to be a small part of this work today”.

Throughout October, we're hosting a special morning tea. With just a gold coin donation, you’re welcome to enjoy a cuppa, some treats, and a friendly chat — all in support of a great cause. Many of us know of someone who has been touched in some way by dementia, making your support all the more meaningful.
