Training information for Trialists and NEW FULL members ONLY this Wednesday 2nd September

Please arrive no earlier than 10 minutes before your training session onto the outer grassed areas for training.

Children are to wait with their parent until it is time to line up at their designated number (just like on Saturday)

No children or adults are to use the track or pit areas when waiting for their training session to start.

Parents MUST stay while their child trains but are not required to stand at their event as they train. Parents can sit on the grassed areas or stand up the top of the concrete area.

Athletes are to stand at their numbered marker in the middle of the track no earlier than 5 minutes before their training session begins.

There are no uniform sales at training this week

A huge thank you to everyone who attended our first trial session today! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

We hope you had a fantastic time, enjoyed getting out on the track and had lots of fun! 💙❤️

And we told you our facilities are amazing! 😍🙌 We hope you enjoyed experiencing them for yourselves!

We know that some age groups had a little bit of a wait at times before starting their events. ⏰ While we always aim to keep things moving, that’s athletics sometimes! With different events running, athletes moving between areas and everyone getting their turn, there can be a little waiting involved. Thank you for your patience and understanding! ❤️

🟢First Trial Day – This Saturday @ Sheldon College 🔴

We can’t wait to welcome our registered trialists and NEW full members to our first trial day of the season!

Address is 77 Taylor Rd, Sheldon.

Enter via gate 1. Take the 2nd right at the first roundabout, follow the road until you see the carpark on the right hand side where the tennis courts are: park in this carpark.
Walk past the tennis courts to where the road ends: walk down the driveway (next to the grassed oval on the right hand side).

U6 - U15 athletes:
🕐 When: 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
🚪 Arrive: No later than 12:50 pm

When you arrive:
1️⃣ Line up to have your child’s name marked off
2️⃣Check what numbered marker your child will line up at on the blue track. Or check on this post
3️⃣Take them to the correct marker to sit/stand and wait until we start at 1:00 pm.

🚻 Please make sure your children have been to the toilet before we start.

⭕️ Tiny Tots ⭕️

2022 born - 4 years: meet Miss Meg and Miss Sarah at the canteen from 1:50pm to have your name marked off

2023 born - 3 years: meet Miss Meg and Miss Heidi at the canteen from 2:50pm to have your name marked off

🚫 There is no access around the school grounds at any time – please stay in the track and toilet area only.

🪨 Parents, please ensure children are not climbing on rock walls or running around on the track or long jump pits before we begin.

❌ no dogs on premises
❌ no smoking/vaping
❌ no one is allowed to touch any implements • equipment or jump on high jump mats before or after the trial

☀️ Bring hats and sunscreen – there’s limited shade available.

👨‍👩‍👧 Parents are to stay at their child’s event at all times during the trial.

Event format:
🏃‍♂️ Each age group will participate in 3 events – 1 track, 1 throw and 1 jump.

🔔 After each event is finished, the siren will sound. Age groups will return to their numbered marker and wait for their official to take them to the next event.

Canteen & Uniform Shop:
📍 Located near the discus end, near our equipment shed.
🍔 Open from 12:30pm and again after the trial finishes – sausage sizzle, pies, drinks, chips and lollies and uniforms available.
