𝐉𝐎𝐈𝐍 𝐔𝐒 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐈𝐄𝐑𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐀𝐒𝐂𝐄𝐍𝐓

If you’re not familiar with competitive tree climbing, you may not know that each year a handful of Australia’s best climbers come together to compete nationally and internationally for the opportunity to rank among the best tree climbers in the world.

𝐀𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭 takes you behind the scenes of the 2025 competition year, following Australia’s Tree Climbing Team through the preparation, pressure, setbacks, big moments and everything in between - all building towards the International Tree Climbing Championship in Christchurch.

At the heart of the story is Barton Allen-Hall and his journey towards a fourth World Championship appearance - a record-breaking feat if he can pull it off.

𝐒𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬. 𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐛𝐢𝐠 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫. A journey that will resonate with anyone who has trained for something bigger than themselves, pushed their body to its limits or chased a goal that once seemed out of reach.

But 𝐀𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭 is about more than competition. It’s about the people, the friendships, the passion for the craft and the community that makes tree climbing what it is. It also shines a light on the important work arborists do every day, showcasing the skill, knowledge and dedication behind the profession.

The Queensland Tree Climbing Championships return to 𝘼𝙧𝙤𝙤𝙣𝙖 𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙠, 𝘾𝙖𝙡𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙧𝙖, from 𝟭𝟭–𝟭𝟯 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲.

Competitors will take on Aerial Rescue, Throwline, Work Climb, Speed Climb and Ascent, with the leading climbers progressing to Saturday’s Masters’ Competition. The weekend will conclude with Freestyle on Sunday.
