STAR Community Services is looking for friendly, bubbly and caring volunteers to join our teams across the Southern Downs and Lockyer Valley and help create fun, social experiences for seniors in our community. 💙

🎉 What could you get involved in?

☕ Morning Teas
Help set up, serve tea and coffee, enjoy a chat and help pack up afterwards.

🚌 Bus Trips
Come along for a day out! Help clients feel comfortable and supported, assist them on and off the bus, help with lunch and be a friendly helping hand throughout the day.

🎲 Social Groups & Activities
Get involved with games days, trivia and a range of activities that keep our clients connected, engaged and having fun!

⏰ Flexible volunteering
Shifts are generally 2–4 hours, with occasional full-day opportunities of up to 8 hours on bus trip days.

As a volunteer driver, you can help seniors and people living with disability stay connected, independent and engaged by providing safe, reliable transport to appointments, activities and more. 💛

STAR Community Services is looking for Volunteer Owner Drivers to support older people and people living with disability by providing safe, friendly transport to appointments, shopping, and social activities.

We're currently recruiting volunteers in:

As a Volunteer Owner Driver you'll:
💙 Help reduce social isolation and loneliness
🚗 Support people to remain independent in their community
😊 Meet wonderful people and make lasting connections
💰 Receive kilometre reimbursement and a volunteer allowance in accordance with our volunteer policy
🎓 Receive ongoing training and support

🌟 Looking for a meaningful way to give back? 🌟

Fun Farm Limited is looking for a Volunteer Board Secretary to join our passionate team and help support the governance of our growing charity.

This is a fantastic opportunity to use your organisational and administrative skills to make a real difference behind the scenes, helping us create opportunities for children, teenagers and adults living with disability.

As our Board Secretary, you'll work closely with our Chairperson and Board of Directors by:
📝 Coordinating Board meetings and preparing agendas
📋 Taking meeting minutes and maintaining governance records
🤝 Supporting communication with Board members and stakeholders
💻 Assisting with event administration and online systems
📅 Helping ensure our charity continues to operate effectively and meet its governance responsibilities

💚 We're looking for someone who is:
✔️ Organised and reliable
✔️ A great communicator with strong attention to detail
✔️ Comfortable using computers and online systems
✔️ Professional, trustworthy and respectful of confidentiality
✔️ Passionate about supporting a community organisation

Previous Board Secretary experience is welcome but not essential. If you have strong administration skills and a willingness to learn, we'd love to hear from you.

⏰ Time commitment: Approximately 5–10 hours per month, with flexible hours outside of scheduled Board meetings.
