Childers crews, alongside many others, have been on the ground assisting Bundaberg residents as they began the clean-up after the Burnett River peaked at 7.4m on Wednesday morning.
The support from Rural Fire Service crews across the region was incredible. Crews from Avondale, Bingera Weir, Birthamba, Boolboonda, Branyan, Bungadoo, Buxton, Calavos, Childers, Goodwood, Gregory River, Moore Park, Mt Perry, South Kolan, Tirroan and Woodgate were joined by crews travelling from South Nanango, Cedar Pocket Greens Creek and River HeadsβKingfisher to lend a hand.
While it was heartbreaking to see the impacts of the flooding first-hand, crews didnβt hesitate to roll up their sleeves and get stuck into the clean-up.
Our thoughts are with all Bundaberg residents affected by the floods. Wishing everyone the very best as recovery efforts continue.
