Queensland Line Dance Association Inc. QLDA will have the means to network Line Dancers from the tip, to the outback, to the beaches and to the most southern of our state.

We aim to promote Line Dancing in Queensland and to foster a sense of community spirit within groups, clubs, members and associates. We offer a central hub where information on classes, socials and workshops are available to members and the line dancing community in general. QLDA FACEBOOK GUIDELINES
The following rules and guidelines for fair use of the QLDA page have been approved by the

QLDA Committee.

• All posts to this page must be approved by a QLDA Executive Committee member.
• Posts can only be submitted by QLDA Members (eg photographs, events flyers etc) and must be submitted to us via message, messenger or email.
• Photographs submitted must have the approval of the event organiser.
• Repeated messages about the same event will not be posted eg “countdowns” to events etc.
• No advertising of events in comments where an event post has already been published on the day. Any event published in a comment will be deleted by the moderator or an approved committee member without warning or further explanation.
• Disparaging or abusive content or spreading of misinformation of posts or events that are posted on the QLDA page will be removed.
• The QLDA page is not monitored 24/7, so please be patient and your event will be posted within a few hours of messaging it to the committee.
• Please ensure that the details on any flyer/event to be posted are correct.

It was wonderful 6 committee members together to celebrate Tracey's 30's years of teaching Sue W, Rebecca, Teigan, Susan R, Carla and Tracey. Unfortunately Jo couldn't make due to illness with the terrible bug that is going around and we hope you feel better soon. Thank you Cathy for your lovely message.

Well Yeppoon was a great place to be on the weekend with perfect weather dancers travelling from all over the countryside - Melbourne, Brisbane, Lockyer Valley, Tambo, Childers, Emerald, Calliope, Gladstone, Darwin, Mackay, Rockhampton, Emu Park and of course Yeppoon. Sorry if I have forgotten anyone.
It was lovely to have L & R Belts and Boots with us for the weekend.
Friday night was meet and greet night and it went off so well with lots of dancers having fun. The Mackay Line Dancers put on a treat for us in their display and they just know how to have fun. That's what line dancing is about fun, friendship and one big happy family.
Saturday John Bishop taught some great dances at his workshop.
Saturday night celebrations were held for Tracey Daffey with her 30 years of teaching. Theme was come dressed as something starting with T. Some very clever outfits including T-bags, Tweedle Dee and Tweddle Dum, Toothbrush and toothpaste, tigers, Tourists, Taylor swift and Tina Turner made appearances, Tinkerbell, tennis players, tattoo lady, teachers and someone went as me. Of course I was Tipsy. Here is a mixture of the weekend. Thank you Jean, Ros and a few from me.

2026 QLDA Ball UPDATE!

Hi everyone,

Here are the first 35 dances on the Ball program - there are still 35 to come with many split floors to be added! WATCH THIS SPACE!

Our plan is to have something for everyone on the dance program ranging from Beginner to Intermediate/Advanced as well as some Golden Classics in there as well.

If you are coming to the Ball and would like to order some food platters, here is the link. The cutoff date to order these platters is Monday 19 October.
