lting collective that realization dawns, it's similar to being a kid in a candy store. Here, there's fun, friendship, learning, education and community. There's plenty of eye candy on show (completed projects and charming fabrics), an overwhelming array of projects to be considered, and, members often take the road less travelled knowing that within the group there's expertise and help at hand. It doesn't matter if you're a complete novice or highly accomplished, there's something for everyone. Childers Quilters gives generously to the community through charity projects. There's a 30 year history of donating beautiful creations to organizations within the region. Members benefit from special projects given in celebration and heartwarming quilts given in comfort. Words of encouragement and praise flow freely for members' accomplishments. There is a saying that goes "Our lives are pieced together with patches of colour by love, tears and joy" and so it is. In 2017 Childers Quilters Inc celebrated 30 years since incorporation. Patchwork and quilting predominates, however, there's also an exchange of shared ideas for an eclectic mix from bags & embroidery to home decor & textile crafts.
