The Bat Mitzvah girls at Chabad Malvern enthusiastically participated in a meaningful MDA Bat Mitzvah session.

They learned about the lifesaving work Magen David Adom does in Israel and how they too, can play a role in making a difference.

Through engaging activities and thoughtful discussions, the girls explored the core Jewish values of Tzedakah, Pikuach Nefesh and Tikkun Olam.

Their warm spirit and friendly competitiveness shone through as they demonstrated their growing knowledge of MDA’s vital mission.

Mazel tov to the girls and their families as they embark on their Bat Mitzvah journey.

What an absolutely extraordinary and deeply moving night at the 2026 Appeal Launch for Magen David Adom Australia.

With over 900 people in the room — the evening was a powerful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together in support of something bigger than itself: saving lives. ❤️

We were incredibly honoured to welcome Lior Raz for a raw, candid and deeply personal conversation with Kathryn Eisman who led the discussion with such poise & passion. Lior spoke openly about the defining moments that shaped his life — from the devastating loss of his girlfriend in a terrorist attack, to the journey behind creating Fauda, and the deep importance of organisations like Magen David Adom to the people of Israel. His honesty, resilience and passion left a lasting impact on everyone in the room.

We were also privileged to hear from Aryeh Myers from MDA Israel, who powerfully brought to life the extraordinary work of Magen David Adom — an organisation made up of more than 37,000 dedicated volunteers and staff, people who run towards danger when others are forced to run away. In moments of terror, crisis and heartbreak aswell as moments of joy and new life, MDA is there — delivering emergency medical care, blood services, humanitarian aid and hope when it is needed most.

Thank you to Isaac & Alex Itescu for their incredibly beautiful rendition of the Australian National Anthem, Hatikvah & the prayers which brought such a special touch to the evening.

To every person who attended, donated and stood with us — thank you. Last night was not just our biggest event ever; it was a testament to the strength, compassion and unwavering support of this incredible community. Together, we are helping ensure Magen David Adom can continue its life-saving mission for the people of Israel, today and for generations to come. ❤️

Carla's generosity, compassion, and unwavering dedication to her community is truly inspiring. She gives tirelessly of herself and consistently goes above and beyond in all that she does.

Shaked Trabelsi is a youth volunteer with Magen David Adom’s Netivot cluster and a high school junior.

He volunteers with tireless dedication across many meaningful areas:

-First Responder: Providing first aid on ambulances.
-Instructor: Training youth volunteers and the general public.
-Scheduler: Managing shifts and scheduling for both adult and youth volunteers.
-Youth Leader: Serving as a counselor in Bnei Akiva.
-Community Representative: Member of the Youth Council for the Sdot Negev Regional Council.

We are proud to congratulate Shaked on winning the Minister of Education’s Outstanding Youth Volunteer Award, named in memory of Elad Riven.

Shaked is the definition of a values-driven, caring leader who works non-stop for his community. Through his extensive work with MDA, the Youth Council, Bnei Akiva, and meaningful social initiatives for local teens, he inspires everyone around him, leading with responsibility, generosity, and a massive heart.

This honorable achievement brings immense pride to his family, the entire community, and to us.
