Today marks the last day of patrol for the 2025–2026 season at Catho 🌊

We’re incredibly proud to share that there were no lives lost between the flags this season — a testament to the dedication, vigilance, and teamwork of our amazing volunteers.

Across the season, our members have given countless hours to:
• Keep our beach safe
• Educate visitors on surf safety
• Support the development of our youth through Nippers
• Provide a welcoming and safe place for everyone to enjoy the ocean

Thank you to every executive, patrol captain, patrolling member, water safety volunteer, trainer, age manager, and supporter who has played a part — your commitment truly makes a difference.

While the flags may be coming down, our work doesn’t stop. Our Emergency Call Out Team will remain active throughout the off-season, with several of our volunteers on today ensuring our rescue boats are maintained and ready, along with surveillance check of surrounding areas including the caves.

If anyone is keen to be involved for next season or learn more about what we do please send us a message.

Thank you to everyone who came along to our Sunday Sips today 🍹

It’s been fantastic to trial this initiative throughout the season, and we’ve really appreciated all the support and positive feedback along the way. We’re still learning as we go, but it’s been such a great way to bring everyone together.

It was a perfect afternoon at Catho — beautiful weather, great music, and even better company. Looking forward to building on this and making it even better next season!

ANZAC Day | Lest We Forget

This morning at Catherine Hill Bay, our community came together in a moving dawn service to honour and remember those who served.

A special thank you to our life member Gary “Griz” who did an outstanding job as MC for the service, guiding the morning with respect and dignity. Thank you also to Grace for her heartfelt reading of a commemorative poem, and to Guy for laying a wreath on behalf of Catherine Hill Bay Surf Life Saving Club.

It was wonderful to see so many of our club members in attendance, standing alongside the wider community in reflection and remembrance. The turnout was truly inspiring and a testament to the strength and respect within our local area.
