Off to Melbourne with our FF points- speaking engagements and taking bags full of supplies to container going to Ukraine.
So many people coming together. Lachowicz and Ukraine Crisis appeal organising the container and letting us send some things, people like carol providing hand knitted beanies to keep heads warm, donations of medical equipment, useful physio gear from Grath at Wellness Embodied Cairns, lovely people who donated suitcases ( and for those we are still to pick them up from we will still use those later!) naylor etc. Thankyou everyone!!

James Cook University just published a piece about our upcoming deployment to Ukraine, and I wanted to share it—sometimes it helps to hear our story through someone else’s eyes.

The article captures something that is hard to articulate when you are too close to it: this work is about more than emergency response.

It is about showing up, again and again, for people whose healthcare system has been systematically destroyed by war.

What the piece cannot capture is the human cost of walking into a country where hospitals are targets and doctors work under conditions most of us cannot imagine. I have seen it firsthand.

That is why I keep going back, and that is why the equipment we are fundraising for right now matters so much.

And yet another horrific attack by russia across Ukrainian cities … Including on a1000 year old church UNESCO heritage site and yet another double-tap- where rescuers coming in to help with the first attack are targeted with the second… pure evil…
