For the young athletes in our community 🏀⚽️🏒🤸♂️
Something many sporting parents may not know about is the Grassroots to Gold program. It provides financial assistance to help young athletes, coaches and officials attend eligible representative events.
For eligible events, funding is available to help cover the costs of travel and competition:
✅ $500 for regional representative athletes, such as Peninsula representatives competing at state championships.
✅ $600 for Queensland representatives competing at national championships.
✅ $800 for athletes selected to represent Australia at eligible international events.
We have so many talented young athletes in Barron River, and representative sport can come with significant costs for families. Programs like Grassroots to Gold help ensure our young people can take up opportunities, pursue their sporting goals and reach their full potential.
