A Moment That Changed the Day!

While providing domestic assistance, I experienced something truly special.

Working with my beautiful client who lives with dementia, I had the privilege of witnessing a kind of love that never fades. Despite the confusion and memory loss, she still instinctively turns to her husband—for comfort, for cuddles, for connection.

In a quiet, unguarded moment, I saw them embrace. A gentle kiss. A closeness that spoke louder than words ever could.

After 66 years together, their love is still there—strong, steady, and undeniable.

Her husband, who is also her carer, has devoted himself to her completely. Even now, he continues the small acts of love—like making her breakfast every morning—just as she used to for him.

In a world that moves so fast, it’s these moments that remind us what truly matters.

Love like that is rare.
Love like that is real.
And I feel incredibly grateful to witness it.

Supporting Family Carers

Caring for a loved one is rewarding—but it can also be overwhelming.

Carers often need support too.

Important reminders:
• It’s okay to take a break
• You don’t have to do everything alone
• Your wellbeing matters just as much

Respite care and support services can give you the time to rest, recharge, and stay strong.

When carers are supported, everyone benefits.

International Day of Families – 15 May

Family means something different to everyone.

It can be the people we’re born into, the people we choose, or the support networks we build along the way.

In aged care, disability, and mental health—family and connection play such an important role in wellbeing.

Today, we celebrate all forms of family and the love, support, and strength they bring.

Tag or message someone who feels like family to you ❤️
