❤️ Day for Daniel | Friday 30th October ❤️

Tomorrow, we’re encouraging everyone to wear RED in support of Day for Daniel, Australia’s largest child safety education and awareness day.

Day for Daniel honours the memory of Daniel Morcombe and promotes the importance of child safety education, helping empower children and young people to recognise unsafe situations and speak up.

By wearing red, we show our support for Daniel’s family and help spread the important message that every child deserves to feel safe. ❤️

It's taken a hot minute but our school coloured, logo printed Library bags are now back in stock!

Order via the QKR app now and for current students it will be delivered to your classroom. For new families that are joining us next year and may not have access to the QKR app just yet please email us at [email protected]

Tickets are finally available!

You can now purchase your Grade 6 Celebration Dance tickets on QKR!

Any questions please reach out via direct message. This is our first time planning an event like this so please be kind, we are trying to cover everything we can think of. All information is in the flyer.

Edit - Thank you to everyone that has reached out with some great questions. We have put together a Question and Answer list to hopefully answer some questions you may have. If we haven't covered something you would like an answer to please just reach out.

Is this a drop and go event?
Yes, if you wish to drop and go that is okay. We will have a sign in/sign out station and we will also ask for a contact number should we need to get in contact with you.

Do I need to buy a ticket for myself if I wish to stay with my child?
No, you only need to purchase a ticket for you child, as they are the ones we are catering for.

Will parent volunteer have a Blue Card?
Yes, all volunteers will have a Blue Card

How do I volunteer?
If you wish to volunteer, please email [email protected] and we will send you the blue card application which is free for all volunteers. Please keep in mind this may take some time to process, and we encourage to complete as soon as you can. Once you have received your blue card number, please email us with these details so we can link you with our Blue Card Registry. Without a blue card unfortunately, you are unable to volunteer as per Department of Education policy.

Can my child have their mobile phone?
Yes, children can keep their mobile phones with them, however we strongly suggest and recommend they stay in their pocket, and they enjoy the night not from behind a small screen.

What will the Adult to Child ratio be?
We are aiming to have 15 adult volunteers onsite during the dance.

Photography –
As a way to respect all families, we are aiming to have a professional photographer onsite (at not extra cost to families) to be taking photos and will later share all photos via a link. We would ask that if any families a “no media” policy around their children being in photos that they please reach out to us when booking their ticket.
This event is not being run by Pumicestone State School, it is fully run event by the Pumicestone SS PandC.

My child has food allergies?
When purchasing your child’s ticket please complete the section at the bottom to let us know. We will try our very best to accommodate this and commute with the Pizza supplier.
