A huge thank you to the City of Moreton Bay for supporting the installation of our new patio roof at Lagoon Creek Café! 🌿☕️

This new roof has transformed the area into a much more comfortable and practical space for our customers, participants, staff and community members to gather, connect and enjoy throughout the year—whatever the weather.

Improvements like this make a genuine difference to the people who use our venue, and we are very grateful for Council’s grant that supported us in creating a more welcoming and usable community space.

We look forward to seeing this area enjoyed by many people in the years ahead!

Change your life!

In May, Cameron nearly walked away from the Better Outcomes Program. He started the course feeling nervous and low on self-confidence. After a few days, he felt unsure and was tempted to drop out. We encouraged him to push through, and he did! He completed the course and proved to himself that he could do it.

Today, he's a different person — applying for jobs, attending interviews, even tackling AI chatbot interviews head-on. He tells us proudly of every update, something the old Cameron would never have done.

This is what our course is really about: building the confidence and self-belief that turns into real-world action.

That’s what the Better Outcomes Program could do for you.

In 12 weeks, you will gain:
✅ Cert II in Hospitality + RSA & RSG
✅ Hands-on barista, retail & bartending training
✅ Resume help, interview coaching & personalised 1:1 support
✅ Interview clothing if they need it
✅ SPER debt assistance (conditions apply)
✅ No cost to eligible participants — fully Queensland Government funded

📅 Starts Tues 6 October | Mon–Fri 9:00am–2:30pm | Caboolture

Email [email protected] to find out if you’re eligible 😊

🎓 Funded by the QLD Govt (Skilling Queenslanders for Work). Eligibility applies. Run by Better Together Assoc Inc (a registered not-for-profit organisation ABN 92 554 430 874).

Thanks to the lovely folks at Bunnings Caboolture for giving us the opportunity to fire up the BBQ and raise funds for a brand new coffee machine for Lagoon Creek Cafe!

As a not-for-profit social enterprise, every dollar we raise goes straight back into the cafe and helps us continue creating meaningful, hands-on opportunities for our participants and trainees. Funding for big-ticket equipment isn’t always easy to come by, so community support like this genuinely makes a difference.

Come and grab a snag, a soft drink, say hello and support us on:
- Sunday 13 September
- Sunday 11 November

Every sausage counts, and every bit of support helps us get one step closer to our new coffee machine. We’d really appreciate your support and hope to see plenty of familiar faces there!
