🐔 H5 bird flu has been confirmed in migratory wild birds in some Australian states.

​While there has been no detection in Queensland, it's a timely reminder to remain diligent.

📝 If you haven't done so recently, please review your property and flock biosecurity measures.

​The FCAQI committee are tracking this closely and will post updates as new information comes to light.

Founder, FCAQI Avicultural and Poultry Museum

We honour the life and legacy of Bob Whitehouse, whose vision and dedication brought the FCAQI Avicultural and Poultry Museum at Caboolture Historical Village to life.

Bob’s passion for waterfowl and his commitment to preserving the rich heritage of poultry and bird keeping in Australia has left an enduring mark on our community.

From humble beginnings, Bob’s leadership and tireless work —supported by many volunteers— created the only museum of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere. His legacy will continue to inspire all who visit and learn from the stories and artefacts he helped preserve.

Our deepest condolences to Marg, their family and all who knew Bob.

The FCAQI AGM was held today, Sunday 23 March 2025, at Caboolture Historical Village.
