During Manly Mic’d Up 🎤 Episode #7, we hear from Koen, who describes Rollers v World as the perfect warm-up for the 2026 NWBL season.
Meanwhile, self-proclaimed “heavy hitters” Tom and Sammy share why they’re excited to represent Manly and how much they’re looking forward to playing alongside talents like Emmanuel Fuentes Cervantes and Giulio Papi.
There’s also plenty of appreciation for Bill and the Manly program, with recognition of the club’s commitment to investing in and developing the next generation of talent.

The Manly Wheel Eagles are excited to welcome Italian wheelchair basketball athlete Giulio Maria Papi to the club for the beginning of the 2026 NWBL season.

With Bill Latham continuing his recovery from injury and unavailable for the opening part of the season, the club has completed the appropriate league processes to strengthen its roster during this period.

Currently in Australia with the Italian National Team for the Rollers vs World series, Giulio brings valuable international experience and will be a fantastic addition to the Wheel Eagles as we commence our 2026 campaign.

Giulio & Manly would like to acknowledge and thank Fipic for making all this possible, along with Dinamo Lab Sassari, the team Giulio will be returning to as soon as this experience is over.

We look forward to welcoming Bill back to the court later in the season and wish him well in his recovery.
