Based in Brisbane, Bootooloo Property is a project and property management business taking projects from concept to completion. Their team works across everything from new builds and renovations to large-scale commercial and residential projects, with services spanning project management, consulting, tender negotiation and design approvals.

It’s the last day of Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. Don't let it be the last day you think about it.

1 in 6 Aussie men will get prostate cancer in their lifetime, and for a lot of them, there won't be any obvious signs until it's further along.

If you're a bloke over 50 (or approaching 40 or over with a family history), knowing the signs and having a chat with your doctor genuinely is one of the simplest things you can do for your future self. It takes minutes and it could change everything.

Know the signs, know your risk, and don't wait until next year to do something about it.

We talk about getting checked a lot, but what does it actually entail? 🩸

It starts with a PSA test (prostate-specific antigen test). A simple blood test measuring a protein made by your prostate. Higher levels can mean a higher risk of prostate cancer, but can also just indicate activity or growth in the prostate gland. Either way, it's the first step your doctor uses to know what's next.

Meet Jess, our Foundation Manager 👋

If something’s happening at Get Yourself Checked, chances are Jess has had a hand in making it happen.

She’s the one behind the scenes, helping keep everything moving across operations, events, partnerships and everything in between.

A lot happens behind the scenes at GYC, and Jess is usually right in the middle of it.
