Then and now 💚 Last year, a tiny goat kid was found tied up and alone outside a building on Moore Street, Southbank. Not exactly where you would expect to find a goat.
Kind-hearted locals spotted her and acted fast. Alone and vulnerable on a busy city street, this little one needed urgent care. One of our vets, Dr Alistair, stepped in straight away and got her to safety.
In those early days, Holly was thin, scraggly and nervous around people and other animals, slowly finding her confidence one day at a time.
But look at her now! Holly has found a loving home at a sanctuary in country Victoria, where she spends her days alongside kid goats, pigs, horses, dogs and cats. She has gained weight, her coat is glossy, and she is thriving.
Goats are curious, intelligent animals who feel joy, fear and love. Every one of them deserves a second chance like this.
If you can no longer care for an animal, please never leave them behind. There is always a kinder path: reach out to a shelter, or surrender them somewhere safe.
