Te Ati Awa x Tonga Steez π₯πΉπ΄π³πΏ
It wasnβt that long ago that Amahli was one of the kids in the pink hats watching the 7s and cheering on her idols. Last June while on a short break, she coached the South Coast 7s girls at the state champs. A time when most would be relaxing or catching up with friends, she spent 3 days at the rugby fields giving back to the next generation.
Yesterday our Renegades kids proudly supported their Renes sister as she ran out on the field at the HK7s. They crowded the sides of the tunnel where the teams run out and the cheers as she took the field echoed across the stadium. A moment where the reality of this one day being them, doesnβt seem to feel so foreign.
Amahli started her 7s journey with Renegades, she played her first international tournament in HK when she was 12 and played for Renegades at every opportunity she could as a junior before progressing through the Australian Youth programs, securing her first professional contract at 17 with Nagato Blue Angels and then signed with the Aussie womens 7s program in 2024.
Why does Renegades exist? For these exact moments. Real Opportunities. Real Pathways. Real Success.
