πŸš¨πŸ“š CHILDREN ARE GOING BACK TO SCHOOL WITH NOTHING DVCM SCHOOL DRIVE HELP NEEDED πŸ“šπŸš¨

Right now, children who have fled extreme domestic violence are preparing to walk into classrooms carrying trauma most adults would struggle to survive and some have no school books to open or pencils to write with.

At DVCM, we have fought hard to give these children a chance:
βœ”οΈ We secured school placements
βœ”οΈ We organised uniforms
βœ”οΈ We covered an entire year of school fees

BUT !!!
πŸ‘‰ We cannot send these children to school without basic learning tools.
πŸ‘‰ Without books, they fall behind before they even begin.

For children who have already lost their home, safety, and stability education is their lifeline. School is often the only place they feel safe again.

πŸ’” A child should never feel β€œdifferent” because their family fled violence.

πŸ’œ We urgently need Prep to Grade 6 school book list items
πŸ’œ Even one extra item from your own child’s book list can change a life
πŸ’œLeftover supplies at home can mean confidence instead of shame for a child walking into class

πŸ™ Our deepest gratitude to Officeworks Strathpine and North Lakes you stepped up for our high school students when they needed it most. Thank you for standing with us.

Community Support Needed – Help a Father Make Christmas Happen

A father has recently been reunited with his children after an incredibly distressing period. During this time, the children were taken interstate without his consent, and he endured months of not knowing where they were. This has been a deeply difficult and emotional journey for everyone involved. Thankfully, the children are now safely back in his care.

This father has three children:
Boy – approx. 4–6 years
Girl – approx. 7–9 years
Girl – approx. 9–11 years

As Christmas approaches, we are reaching out to the community to help support this family as they heal, reconnect, and rebuild their lives together.

Ways you can help:
Food vouchers
Gift cards
Fuel vouchers

Entry passes to family-friendly attractions or known fun spots

A Christmas ham

Activities, games, or experiences the children can enjoy together with their dad

Every act of kindness, no matter how small, will help bring stability, comfort, and joy to these children and their father during a time of recovery and reunification.

Thank you for your compassion and generosity in helping this family through such a challenging period. πŸŽ„πŸ’›
