On Monday, the Box Hill RSL Women’s Auxiliary proudly celebrated its 40th Birthday in the Upton Room. Joining members for this special occasion were John, Andrew, Arthur and Faye, along with the Vice-President of the Women’s Council.

To make the celebration even more memorable, members were invited to wear something from 40 years ago or dress in an outfit inspired by the 1980s. Everyone also brought along a photo of themselves from four decades ago for a fun and nostalgic Photo Quiz.

It was a wonderful day filled with friendship, laughter, fun, and cherished memories as members came together to celebrate 40 incredible years of the Women’s Auxiliary.

We are incredibly proud to celebrate Emi on receiving a Menzies Electorate Outstanding Volunteer Award in recognition of her extraordinary contribution to our community.

Emi is one of our valued committee members and a dedicated member of our knitting group, always giving her time, care and energy to support those around her.

Over many years, Emi has generously contributed to a wide range of community organisations through leadership, coordination, administration, event support and welfare activities. Her volunteer work has included Box Hill RSL, Greenlink Box Hill, Doncaster Community Gardens, Box Hill Baptist Church Bread Rescue and Clota Cottage Neighbourhood House.

Since 2021 alone, Emi has contributed a significant number of volunteer hours at Box Hill RSL, reflecting her ongoing dedication to supporting others and strengthening community life.

Congratulations Emi, and thank you for the incredible difference you make in our community every day.

Mother’s Day at Box Hill RSL was a chance to come together and celebrate the incredible mums and the important women in our lives who give so much every day. Many enjoyed a beautiful High Tea in The Lancaster, relaxed moments on The Deck with pizzas, and a full bistro experience shared with family and friends throughout the venue.
It was a day filled with great food, warm company, and appreciation for all the mothers who make such a difference. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so special. We hope all the mothers felt truly valued and celebrated.
