🚒 A big thank you to Transgrid!

Bowning Rural Fire Brigade would like to thank Transgrid for their support through the Community Partnerships Program.

Thanks to their generous funding, our brigade has been able to purchase new operational equipment including handheld radios, portable scene lighting and an air compressor setup.

This equipment will help improve our communications, safety and capability both around the station and when responding to incidents in our local community.

Support like this makes a real difference to volunteer brigades like ours, and we’re incredibly grateful to Transgrid for investing in our brigade and the community we serve.

We're proud to share the completion of brigade upgrades to our facilities, made possible through the generous support of the Bango Wind Farm Community Enhancement Fund.

With more than $5,000 in grant funding, we've been able to purchase and install:
🚒 A commercial-grade PPE washing machine
🚒 New secure firefighter lockers
🚒 New shower screens for our station amenities

These improvements are all about protecting our volunteers. The commercial washing machine allows bush and grass fire PPE to be professionally cleaned at the station, helping remove harmful contaminants and reducing the need for firefighters to take contaminated gear home. The new lockers provide each member with secure storage for their protective clothing and equipment, while the upgraded shower facilities further improve hygiene and comfort after incidents.

Looking after the health and wellbeing of our volunteers is just as important as providing them with the right equipment to respond to emergencies. These upgrades will benefit our members for many years to come.

On behalf of everyone at Bowning Rural Fire Brigade, we'd like to sincerely thank Bango Wind Farm for investing in our brigade and supporting the volunteers who protect our local community. Your contribution has made a lasting difference.

It was awesome for our brigade to be able to join Sam’s convoy on her stretch into Bowning this evening. Was wonderful to see the Bowning community supporting her all the way into town! 👏
Sam is nearing the end of her 441km roll from Corowa to Yass and will reach Yass tomorrow.
Let’s all get behind her. 🚒

You’re an inspiration Sam keep up the good work. 🙌🏻
