As many in our community are aware Yass Hospital Auxiliary has had a huge project in the pipeline for 3 years now.
This came about following one of our members, Pam Ranyard, spending many hours with her husband Phillip in palliative care at our hospital. Pam’s concept was that we improve the outlook from the palliative care rooms. A project which our members quickly embraced.
We are now seeing this project nearing its completion and what a long road it has been. So now we feel it is appropriate to say thankyou.
Firstly, to Yass Hospital and Southern Area Health for allowing us to run with this project.
Our members Pam Ranyard, Carol Foran and Virginia Austin who have all put in countless hours.
Kylie and Jason Carniel of Yass HRG for generously donating all the base paint for the walls. A substantial saving for our club.
Painter Brendan Hogan who offered us a very good price and even worked weekends following a delay at the hospital.
The art group who meet on Mondays at the Lawn Tennis Club for helping with the artwork.
Especially a big thankyou to Cayla Potham for saying yes to this project when approached by us with the idea. Then generously offering to take it on for free and supplying the art paint, as her donation to our community, and not flinching when the project greatly increased in size.
The delight that this project is already bringing to all at the hospital is as enormous as it is uplifting for both patients and staff.
