Have you noticed something different in Bowning?

Trees! They're in, just in time for Spring. We are keen to plant more over time but this is a great start - Can't wait to see them come to life in the coming weeks!

It's nearly tree planting time! 🌳🌳🌳

Have you noticed the star pickets that have popped up along Bowning Rd? these are sight pegs and markers for our tree planting project that is finally coming to fruition.

In the next week or so, a landscaping contractor will be planting 42 trees in line with our streetscape beautification project, in locations marked out in the Bowning Village master plan.

Tree planting is one of the last projects we will be undertaking as part of the $80k NSW State Government grant we were awarded back in 2023. That grant has funded the new BBQ at the rec groud, seating and picnic tables, the mural and other projects that are making our town better all the time.

Thanks to all the volunteers who have made this happen, and please reach out if you want to join the BDPA and get in on the action!

Another Beautification work completed on behalf of the Bowning Progress Association.
Special thanks to Simon White and his amazing talent.
The Cricket Club wall mural represents events that have taken part on the Oval.
The water tank mural is the Male and Female Sun Moth which is presumed to be in the area.
The numbers on the runners represent the Postcode, the year Mural done and the most important number the year the Bowning Recreational Oval was Gazetted.
Go check it out, down at the Bowning Recreation Oval and the two water tanks on the left coming into Bowning.

Last week the BDPA met with NSW Planning Minister Paul Scully MP to discuss the many renewable energy developments proposed or approved in our community - including the Bendenine Wind Project. Bob Nanva & Michael Pilbrow were part of the delegation overlooking the project area from a hilltop just outside Bowning village.

We were joined by community reps from Binalong Progress Association, Binalong Bowning Community Action Group, our local Ngunnawal community as well as folks from Bookham & Yass.

There are big changes and challenges facing our community - we face them together to advocate for our community and for our future generations. Thanks for listening Minister!
