🎨 DRAWING & COLOURING — ROUND 1 RESULTS & VOTE
Round 1 has closed, and our first young artists have given us a lovely start. Each one looked at Berwick Springs Lake and showed us what it means to them — the bridge, the fountain, the wetlands and the birdlife, the colours of the water.

Congratulations to Levi (5), our Round 1 Little Artists winner. A bold and joyful picture of the Lake.

🎨 Junior Artists (6–10) — it's over to you
Three wonderful entries, and the Community chooses the winner:

Congratulations to Sandra Brash – April's Photo of the Month winner with "Autumn seating."

A pair of empty benches facing the mist rising from the water, as the sky explodes into a kaleidoscope of colours. In Sandra's own words:
"Sitting at Berwick Springs Lake watching the autumn leaves fall 🍂 a peaceful place."

"Autumn seating" now joins "A beautiful place" (March) in the line-up for the Autumn Photo of the Season.

🎨 DRAWING & COLOURING COMPETITION

A friendly reminder — Round 1 of our Drawing & Colouring Competition closes on Sunday, 31 May.
This is your opportunity — and that of the young artists in your home — to take part in something special. There's still time to pick a template, bring it to life, and share it with the Community.

🖍️ Three age categories: Little Artists (under 6) | Junior Artists (6–10) | Senior Artists (11+)
🎨 Any medium welcome — pencil, crayon, watercolour, pastel, marker, or a mix of everything.

How to enter:
1. Download a template from our website: www.berwicksprings.com.au
2. Create your artwork
3. Photograph/scan the finished piece
4. Email to [email protected] with the artist's first name and age

Shortlisted entries go to Community vote on in June.
Round 2 (Jun–Jul) and Round 3 (Aug–Sept) follow, with overall winners recognised at Berwick Springs Lake Day 2026.

📸🏆 MARCH PHOTO OF THE MONTH
Sandra Brash has done it again - congratulations!
Her photo titled "A beautiful place" captures a spectacular sunburst breaking through textured clouds, its golden light reflected across the still waters of Berwick Springs Lake. The title says it all.

Thank you also to J.D. for the three entries across the month, each showing Berwick Springs Lake from a different perspective - from the rhythmic march of the bollards to the moonlit fountain.
