School holidays are just around the corner! If you're already wondering how to keep the kids entertained, we've got you covered in Berry. Here's what's on:

🍫 Chocolate Workshops at The Treat Factory & The Dairy Bar - Make your own Rocky Road (3, 11 & 17 July) or Giant Freckle (9 July) while learning origins and art of chocolate making. Multiple sessions are available each day. Suits ages 5+.

🌱 Winter Nature Play Sessions with Green Mountain Nature Play - Village Quest (7, 9 & 15 July) and Botanical Exploration (8, 14 & 16 July) encourage kids to connect with nature, build bushcraft skills and make new friends through hands-on outdoor adventures. Suits ages 4–14.

🍕 School Holiday Activities at The Berry Hotel - A range of activities including free Reptile Zoo (7 & 15 July), Kids Bingo (9 & 14 July) and $5 Pizza Making workshops (8 & 16 July).

🛶 Guided and Self-Guided Family Adventures with Valley Outdoors - Guided canoe tours, family-friendly canoe hire and beginner-friendly abseiling experiences, all just a short drive from Berry.

🎨 Family Art Experiences at Bundanon - Bundanon's Family Fun Day combines a guided visit to the Art Museum with a hands-on painting workshop. 15 July, 10am – 2pm. Suits ages 5–12 with a parent or carer.

💍 Make a Chunky Silver Ring at Co.LAB a Collective - Create your own sterling silver ring in this beginner-friendly silversmithing workshop on 5 July. Suitable for ages 15+, or 13–14 with a paying adult.

🚲 Free Fun at Boongaree - Pack the scooters or bikes and enjoy Berry's Rotary Nature Play Park, Learn to Ride area, Skate Park and Pump Track.

The Berry Writers Festival has announced a change of dates for 2026, with the event now set to take place from 6 – 8 November.

Following the confirmation of another major event in Berry on the original festival weekend, organisers have made the decision to move the festival to ensure the best possible experience for audiences, authors, sponsors and supporters.

This much-loved biennial festival celebrates stories, ideas and imagination, bringing acclaimed writers and passionate readers together in the heart of Berry for a weekend of conversation, discovery and inspiration.

While the dates have changed, the vision remains the same, with plans underway for what promises to be the festival's most ambitious program yet.

Mark your calendars – 6 to 8 November 2026.

Thursday night's line-up set the mood, now Sunday's line-up will ramp up the groove.

From midday through to 8pm, Berry will host a stacked line-up of artists bringing soul, funk, R&B and indie sounds to the village. Expect infectious rhythms, powerhouse vocals, feel-good energy and plenty of reasons to stay for just one more set.

With a growing reputation for captivating live performances, Isy Cappo brings smoky vocals, layered harmonies and contemporary R&B influences to open the day.

Erin Badman
1:00pm – 2:00pm at The Berry General Store
Blending contemporary R&B, dream-pop and neo-soul, Erin Badman creates immersive performances built around hypnotic vocals and emotionally honest songwriting.

Jaspar Gubbay
2:00pm – 3:00pm at The Rutledge Bar & Eats
Drawing inspiration from funk, disco, rock and hip hop, Jaspar Gubbay brings infectious energy, irresistible rhythms and a natural ability to command a crowd.

Honeydrip
3:00pm – 4:00pm at Il Locale
Honeydrip will perform as a stripped-back semi-acoustic duo, showcasing the soulful vocals, rich harmonies and musical chemistry at the heart of the band's sound.

Velvet Bloom + Saturn Chromatic
4:00pm – 6:00pm at Berry Hotel
Saturn Chromatic opens with a rhythm-driven sound built around movement and feel, before Melbourne collective Velvet Bloom brings their captivating blend of soul, funk, indie, folk and pop.

CINTA + Autumn Sunset
6:00pm – 8:00pm at Great Southern Hotel Berry
Wollongong favourites Autumn Sunset kick off the evening with their vibrant mix of indie rock, funk, soul and brass-filled grooves. Closing out the Funk & Soul edition is Sydney soul powerhouse CINTA, renowned for commanding vocals, inventive arrangements and magnetic stage presence.

A Day Well Spent – Funk & Soul kicks off in Berry tonight, with an evening of soulful live music and captivating performances.

Hannah Tregret
6:30 – 7:30pm at Great Southern Hotel Berry
A mesmerising singer-songwriter and accomplished musician, Hannah blends heartfelt storytelling with folk, blues and jazz influences to create performances that are intimate, expressive and deeply engaging.

Blessie Pica
7:30 – 8:30pm at Great Southern Hotel Berry
Blending acoustic R&B, smooth pop favourites and nostalgic throwbacks from the '90s and early 2000s, Blessie's feel-good sets are packed with rich vocals, familiar songs and infectious grooves.

SO-FI
8:30pm – 9:30pm at Le Bar
SO-FI combines expressive vocals, thoughtful songwriting and effortless musicianship into a live experience that is both captivating and deeply authentic. Drawing on indie, folk, jazz and contemporary soul influences, her warm stage presence and emotionally rich performances have made her a favourite on stages across the region.

And this is only the beginning.

The Funk & Soul program continues on Sunday with live music across Berry's favourite venues from 12pm - 8pm, featuring CINTA, Velvet Bloom, Autumn Sunset, Saturn Chromatic, Honeydrip, Isy Cappo, Erin Badman and Jaspar Gubbay.

The countdown is on, with just 1 week until A Day Well Spent returns to Berry. On 18 & 21 June, the Funk & Soul edition will bring a fresh soundtrack of soul, funk and rhythm to venues across the village. Featuring CINTA, Velvet Bloom and a stellar line-up of artists, it promises more live music, great food and plenty of reasons to extend your weekend.
