Just a couple of reminders about BERRY CWA upcoming events.
1. Don’t forget our free craft workshops for members of the community during the month of APRIL. If you want help with a knitting project, want to learn how to crochet or sew or even make a gift for Mother’s Day please come along. You may have a child, grandchild or friend who is on school holidays - bring them too!
Dates: Every Wednesday in April except 22 April.
Time: 9-12noon
Venue: Berry CWA Hall, 79 Victoria St., Berry
Questions: Contact Joan at [email protected]
2. Our other event is a Soup ‘n Slice event on 22 April to raise funds to support A Taste of Paradise Farm. A Taste of Paradise Farm is a “not for profit” locally based, registered charity which has been operating since 1999. “The Farm” operates a day program for troubled young people which incorporates Assisted Animal Therapy, One on One Mentoring and Horticultural training.
The event is on Wednesday 22nd April, 11:30 to 2:00 in the Berry CWA Rooms, 79 Victoria Street.
Entry is $15 (cash only) for which you will not only be fed but also challenged with Trivia, guessing games and more. All proceeds go to A Taste of Paradise Farm.
Numbers are limited so if you wish to attend please contact Nancy Ghosh at [email protected] by 15 April.
Some photos from our first handicraft workshop. We also had a visit from some staff and students from North Nowra Primary School. We donated several of bolts of fabric to the school for costumes for their dance group and also to be used by other creative arts groups at the school. The fabric came from one of our members who generously donated it.
