Berry Mens Shed Inc The Shed is a community project, open to both men and women, established by Berry Uniting Church. Most elect to work only on community projects.

Berry Men's Shed was established in 2005 by Berry Uniting Church in response to a perceived need in the Shoalhaven for men and women who had recently retired to share in meaningful community projects that benefit themselves and the community. The Shed's aim is to improve member's sense of self worth and their practical and interpersonal skills, while contributing to the community. Members work in

a fully mechanised wood and metal workshop and are committed to work on community projects, tasks to advance the purpose of the shed and their own personal projects. The Shed has a non-discriminatory policy, welcoming men and women of any age. There is an annual membership fee of $25.00, plus $2.00 each day of attendance, which covers the cost of morning & afternoon tea.

AI tells us that Pyrography is also known as Wood Burning. It is the art of using a heated metal pen to decorate wood, leather or other materials. Some people may remember shed member Peter Lutz who showed people how to beautifully decorate wooden trays using the pyrography pen. Now Lynda is carrying on the tradition and making these gorgeous trays/boards/platters.
