Since 1999, our organisation has nurtured 49 Acres of forest and wetland, creating a living outdoor classroom for children, fam

ilies, and schools. We run hands-on environmental education, community planting days, and nature-based events that inspire the next generation of conservation leaders. Every ticket sold and every hour volunteered helps maintain trails, restore habitats, and improve facilities so everyone can experience the magic of the bush. Our organisation partners with local schools, environmental groups, and local government to protect biodiversity, monitor wildlife, and deliver programs that bring people closer to nature. We’re proud to be a grassroots organisation safeguarding a special place for future generations.

A great step forward following the recent news🌳

Every tree planted is an investment in the future of Carnaby’s Black Cockatoos, while every mature tree needs to be PROTECTED , providing vital food and hollows TODAY. We can achieve both. The strongest conservation outcomes come from restoring habitat and safeguarding the trees that already support our wildlife. So let’s commit to protecting every remaining mature tree and expanding habitat now to secure a future for Carnaby’s Black Cockatoos.

A big welcome to our new volunteers who joined Baldivis Children's Forest Youth this weekend!!
Our team spent Saturday morning hand-weeding in the wetland and learning how to collect and sample water, gaining valuable hands-on experience in caring for our environment.

It was also a very special day as we celebrated Ethan stepping into a Youth Leader role.💚

Ethan has contributed so much to Baldivis Children's Forest over the years, always willing to lend a hand, learn new skills and support both the forest and our community. We are incredibly proud to see him take this next step.

Our Youth Leaders, Jess, Flynn and JD, can't wait to begin this journey alongside Ethan as they continue helping our youth, community and the land we all care so deeply about.
Watching young volunteers grow into leaders is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do. The future of Baldivis Children's Forest is in great hands.
Well done, Ethan, and well done BCF Youth!

What a beautiful morning in the forest!
It was so lovely to see so many families out enjoying a morning walk while our Loose Parts Play and Mud Kitchen event was underway. These events always make Miss H and Miss B smile, but the best part is seeing the adults joining in too!

Today there were kangaroo sightings, cubbies built, wands and memory sticks created, insect habitats made, races through the forest, tug-of-war, and plenty of muddy hands. The mud kitchen was certainly busy a sight that may have given Gordon Ramsay a heart attack!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for a morning of laughter, imagination and outdoor play. 🦘🌿💚

🌿 **World Environment Day 2026** 🌿

2026 Theme: Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For our Future.
If you ever wonder what can be achieved when people work together, look no further than Baldivis Children's Forest.
What began as a vision has grown into a thriving community forest supporting wildlife, environmental education, recreation and conservation. Today, MORE native trees stand where there was once a paddock, Carnaby's Black Cockatoos visit and breed, wildlife finds refuge, and people of all ages can connect with nature.
Today, we thank every volunteer who gives their time, every community member who lent a hand, every local business that offered support, the schools that have engaged with and contributed to the forest, and our local and State Government partners who invested in a shared vision for the future.

Together, we have shown that when communities work side by side, real environmental change is possible.

The forest is more than trees and trails. It is a living example of what can be achieved when people choose to care, contribute and work together.

💚 Thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey. This achievement belongs to all of us.
