At Diamond in the Ruff Rescue, we are a 100% volunteer-run, non-profit animal rescue dedicated to saving lives, one animal at a time. With no paid staff, our passionate team works tirelessly to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome dogs in need. Since our founding, we have remained committed to creating a safe, loving, and enriching environment for both the animals we care for and the volunteers who de

dicate their time to our mission. With the ongoing economic challenges and rising rates of pet surrenders, our rescue has seen a 75% increase in animals needing help over the past few years. Despite these hurdles, we continue to provide essential care, shelter, and second chances to animals from all walks of life. Our core mission revolves around the belief that every animal deserves a loving home. We take in dogs from overcrowded pounds, neglectful situations, and homes that can no longer care for them, offering hope to those who need it most. From fostering and rehabilitating dogs to organizing adoptions, Diamond in the Ruff Rescue works diligently to match each dog with their forever family. 🐾💎 TENNER THURSDAY — 100 PEOPLE, $10 EACH! 💎🐾

I'm trying something ridiculously simple today.

I need 100 people with $10.

That's it.

If 100 of our followers can spare just $10 each, that's $1,000 towards the never-ending costs of keeping Diamond in the Ruff Rescue doing what we do — vet bills, medication, transport, food and everything else that seems to land on my desk. 😂

💙 WRINKLE NEEDS OUR HELP — $3,200 SURGERY APPEAL 💙

Wrinkle has already had his happy ending. ❤️
He has been adopted and is loved dearly in his forever home.

But unfortunately, there is one last thing we need to do for this beautiful boy.

Wrinkle has entropion affecting both eyes and now requires surgery. Entropion causes the eyelids to roll inward, meaning the hairs and lashes rub against the surface of the eye. It isn't something we can simply leave untreated.
So we're hoping our wonderful supporters can help us raise $3,200 for Wrinkle's surgery and immediate care.
Wrinkle may already be adopted, but our responsibility to him didn't simply end when he walked through the door of his forever home.
We made a commitment to this boy, and we're going to see it through. ❤️
But we can't do it alone.

Big head. Bonkers ears. Occasional pork chop. ❤️

✂ Desexed & vaccinated, up to date with flea and tick treatment

Chase is built like someone ordered a medium-sized dog and accidentally selected the XL head option.

Then there are the ears.

Nobody knows what they're doing. They change position every seven seconds and have more personality than most people we've met.

Chase believes every person he meets has been waiting their entire life specifically to meet him. He is super people friendly!

One of the coolest things is how well he reads the room. Put him around kids and he seems to understand that the rules have changed and the crazy gets dialled down and a gentler Chase appears.

🧩 His brain requires snacks
Chase LOVES something to work out.
Kongs. Food puzzles. Enrichment toys.
If there's food trapped inside something, Chase will happily dedicate himself to the problem like he's been hired by the FBI.

Food involved = Chase involved.

🏅 Future Olympic athlete
Chase has a part time hobby…. high jump.
Unfortunately, training sessions only seem to occur when his humans leave the house therefore secure 6 foot fencing is non-negotiable. He isn't spending his afternoons plotting an escape while you're home but being left behind is what inspires his athletic career.

🐕 The dog situation
Chase has successfully lived with other dogs and we think he could make a fantastic annoying younger brother to an older, experienced and well-balanced dog.

He's a quick learner, but he needs a canine mate who knows what's acceptable and isn't afraid to tell the youngster when he's being a pork chop.

Chase generally responds rather than initiates silly behaviour around other dogs. If another dog starts barking, lunging or carrying on, Chase can join the conversation. He's not generally the bloke who starts the argument.

He prefers dogs closer to his own size or bigger, and introductions need to be sensible.

🦮 We did a lot of work to improve his lead walking skills.
Chase had never been walked before coming into care. He's learning quickly and is doing great for a dog who started with almost no experience.

He's a young dog who missed out on the essential puppy training parts of life.
He needs boundaries and consistency.
He needs someone home or a canine companion.
He needs continued social guidance.

Aside from the enormous head, independently operated ears and occasional pork-chop tendencies, Chase is a well-mannered, clever and people-loving young dog who genuinely wants to get things right. He doesn’t chew the house apart or your shoes (or anything else). He doesn’t bark non stop because its windy. He is house trained and respectful of your space (very un-staffy like!). He just needs to see you, know you are there and he is safe, he isn’t asking much.

With the right home, we know Chase is going to be the best addition to any dynamic. ❤️🐾

**PLEASE SHARE FAR AND WIDE — WE NEED EYES EVERYWHERE FOR KOA.**

Koa is a **very timid and frightened Dingo X** who escaped shortly after arriving at a property in **Mangrove Mountain on Friday afternoon**.

We were not notified immediately that he was missing, so precious time has already been lost and **we urgently need sightings**.

⚠️ **PLEASE DO NOT CHASE HIM**
⚠️ **DO NOT TRY TO CATCH OR CORNER HIM**
⚠️ **DO NOT CALL OUT OR FOLLOW HIM**
⚠️ **DO NOT APPROACH HIM — EVEN IF HE APPEARS CALM**

Koa is extremely wary and frightened. If pressured or pursued, he is likely to run further.

🐾 Stay calm and keep your distance.
🐾 Note the **exact location, time and direction he is travelling**.
🐾 If safe, take a photo or video from a distance.

Koa may be hiding during the day and moving when things are quiet, so we desperately need residents throughout **Mangrove Mountain and surrounding areas** watching their properties and cameras.

🚨🚨 TOBY HAS ONE WEEK. PLEASE READ & SHARE. 🚨🚨

This is the post we desperately hoped we wouldn't have to write.

We have now been advised that Toby's current foster placement will end in ONE WEEK.

If we cannot find Toby an alternative suitable placement within that time, his current carer has advised us that he intends to surrender Toby to the pound.

💔 We do NOT want that to happen.

Toby is a rescue dog who needs a very particular home, but that does not mean the right home isn't out there.

We now have seven days to find it.

📍 Toby is currently in Booyal, QLD

Toby absolutely loves his people. He loves going for walks, heading out in the car, spending time with his person and then coming home to relax on the couch or curl up in front of the fire.

What Toby needs is actually quite simple — the right environment.

🐾 ONLY PET — no other dogs, cats or animals
🐾 Experienced, confident dog person
🐾 Adult household or older, dog-savvy teenagers
🐾 Secure, fully fenced property
🐾 A quieter, semi-rural or rural lifestyle would be ideal
🐾 Someone wanting one loyal dog to share their life with

Toby's issue is with other animals — not people.

We aren't asking hundreds of people to offer Toby a home.

WE ARE ASKING FOR ONE.

One experienced person.

One suitable property.

One person who doesn't have other animals and has room in their life for Toby.

And we have one week to find them.

Please don't assume somebody else will share this.

Please don't assume somebody else will know the right person.
