No one is against the Jewish faith - we as Muslims are believers of the Prophet Musa (Moses) p.b.u.h.

We stand NOT against any religion or race - we stand against the barbaric behaviour of groups and of governments of any country regardless of their faith or race.

The Palestinian people need their freedom and identity returned urgently, equally we want to see an end of wars and conflicts across the world.

Message from the Shia Muslim Council of Australia

Salam alaikum, dear community members,

After much thought and discussion with our member organisations, we believe the best course of action for this year’s census is to tick “other” and write “Shia Islam”. We have confirmed that this will be counted as part of Islam and will not form a separate category.

This step will help towards some estimate of the Shia community in Australia.

While we understand it is not an ideal situation, we believe this option brings about the most benefit.
