The Council of Indian Australians is an organisation which was inaugurated on January 28th, 2011 at the Australia Day/Indian Republic Day function in Blacktown, NSW. It wants to change the face and perception of community work and community leadership by their genuine work for the community and by effective leadership.

✨Celebrate Diwali – The Festival of Lights – in The Hills! ✨

Tomrrow the Castle Hill Showground will come alive with colour, music, food and celebration for the annual Diwali Festival, proudly presented by the Council of Indian Australians Inc (CIA).

Diwali is a celebration that symbolises the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, and good over evil. Messages that speak to all of us. It’s also a time to come together as a community to share joy, friendship and hope for the year ahead.

Enjoy a full day of festivities including:
🎑 Amusement rides and family fun
πŸ’ƒ Bollywood performances, cultural shows and a live DJ
🎨 Henna artists and colourful market stalls
🍴 Delicious food stalls and food trucks from across the region
