EVENT #59 – VOLUNTEERS, RUNNERS AND WALKERS NEEDED
Winter has arrived in Alice Springs, and Event #59 is shaping up to be a crisp one.
The forecast is looking like proper parkrun weather: cold enough to question your life choices before 7am, but perfect once you get moving.
We’re still looking for a few volunteers to help make Event #59 happen:
* Finish Tokens
* Barcode Scanner
* Photographer
* Tail Walker
* parkwalker
Still recovering from Friday night’s Westside Four Corners Run? Volunteering remains a perfectly acceptable life choice.
Or perhaps you’re using parkrun as a warm-up for Saturday morning’s Southside Run. We won’t judge.
Not feeling particularly fast? Come for a walk.
Feeling fast? Come for a run.
Just want an excuse to get out of the house and drink coffee afterwards? We’ve got you covered there too.
At its heart, parkrun is still just a walk in the park — some people just choose to do their walking at an alarming speed.
As always, everyone is welcome:
* runners
* walkers
* first timers
* regulars
* visitors escaping colder places and wondering why we’re wearing jackets at 10°C
Briefing: 6:45am
Start: 7:00am
Location: Telegraph Station
See you Saturday.
Forecast: 100% chance of someone saying “it’s freezing” and 100% chance of someone else replying “this isn’t cold.”
